Vietnam is working towards the target of exporting 7 million tonnes of rice this year, heard a forum held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on November 19.
Vietnam exported an estimated 4.88 million tonnes of rice this year, earning 2.2 billion USD, down 25.8 percent in volume and 21.2 percent in value year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Viet Nam shipped over 5.7 million tons of rice and earned nearly US$ 2.5 billion in export revenue in the first ten months of this year, according to the Viet Nam Food Association (VFA).
